This dramatic design is set in the early 1980's. It depicts DCA's iconic 1941 Art Deco Terminal A and features the second of three control towers to be built atop the building. Washington National Airport was at the time the home base of USAir Airways, so it is fitting that ascending B727-200 is shown. The artist is Chris Bidlack of JetAge Art.
