A rare piece of White House china from the First Ladies Breakfast, held at the White House on April 20, 1984 and sponsored by First Lady Nancy Reagan. The plate, beige china with red trim and edged in gold, bears a beautiful raised image of the White House.
One the reverse: Lenox mark, limitation number "36", and signatures of ten previous First Ladies. Provenance: from the estate of Cmdr. Ronald L. Jackson (1928-1990). Jackson, a Navy officer, was tasked with supervising the planning/implementation of reciprocal state dinners, the operation of the White House Mess and food service at Camp David and aboard Air Force One, and traveled everywhere with Presidents Johnson through George H. Bush.
